How it began
Our Story

The First Date
Rochester, NYTheir first date began at Marketplace Mall in Rochester, not exactly the stuff of fairy tales, but it turned into one of their favorite days ever. After a memorable dinner at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, where Aravind had his very first American burger, they wandered through downtown Rochester, talking and laughing the whole way through. Despite growing up worlds apart, Aravind in India and Tiffany in the States, they kept discovering just how much they had in common.
They even stopped by a quiet pond near the mall, watching the sun melt into the horizon, neither of them wanting the day to end. The night ended with Aravind walking Tiffany to the bus stop, where he spotted a daisy and handed it to her, a small, sweet gesture that said everything. It wasn't a goodbye. It was more of a "something tells me we'll see each other again." And so they did.
The Proposal
January 27, 2026 · Death Valley, CAOn a campervan trip through California, Aravind knew exactly where he wanted to propose, he was just waiting for the moment to catch up. That evening they made their way to Dante's View in Death Valley. Aravind loves the mountains, Tiffany loves the water, and somehow this one spot had both: towering peaks on one side and the salt flats of Badwater Basin shimmering below like a quiet, endless sea.
Just the two of them, no crowds, no noise, lost in their own little world, when Aravind got down on one knee. He said, "Tiffany Alulema, this is my favorite place on Earth, and you are my favorite person in it. Will you marry me?" The same two people who once stood by a quiet pond in Rochester watching the sun go down, now standing together on top of the world.
